One “thing” that I wish to become better at is fly fishing! Sadly, everytime that
I have traveled to the coast to fly fish, I have been met with less than ideal weather
concerning the wind. In an effort to “practice” my fly fishing technique, I have
purchased a 5/6 weight “fresh water” fly outfit. This has been a great investment
as I have “hit the local water” around my neighborhood almost daily for the past
2 week! Out of curiosity, I decided to try the Berkley Gulp! Alive! 1” minnow on

As I mentioned above, I want to improve as a fly fisherman! Consequently, to allow
me more opportunity to “practice,” I purchased a TFO (Temple Fork Outfitters) NXT
Fly Rod Combo. Let me tell you, the expense has been worth every cent! This combo
is a fantastic bargain, and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a good quality,
entry level combo to learn how to fly fish, or who want a great back-up outfit. My

Okay, I know, I know! You’re probably asking yourself...why another review of the Berkley Gulp! Alive! 1” Minnow? Simply...Because it is THAT GOOD! I had an opportunity to test a different minnow when some nephews visited me recently. We continued to hammer the panfish to the tune of 21 fish one Sunday morning! The only bait / lure we used was the Emerald Shiner minnow by Gulp! Alive! My video explains the rest of the story.
